Kepa Arrizabalaga - 5/10

The Chelsea shot-stopper conceded five goals for the first time in the league this season and faces a nervous wait in the summer, since Chelsea have been linked with replacing him. Surely a 'wait and watch' for him.

Cesar Azpilicueta - 5/10

Azpilicueta was not as effective as he was against Manchester United in the FA Cup on Sunday. Liverpool were able to get in behind him on numerous occasions and he struggled to keep up with his counterparts.

Kurt Zouma - 4/10

The defender failed to read the movement of Roberto Firmino for Liverpool's fourth goal and looked a bit lethargic on the night. Perhaps, the gruelling encounter on Sunday has had an effect, as he looked slower and slower the more the game progressed.

Antonio Rudiger - 4/10

Rudiger also struggled on the night, as Salah tormented him with a few driving runs. The German did not look sharp enough to deal with his counterpart running at him and often put himself and the team in jeopardy.

Reece James - 6/10

The full-back enjoyed a decent outing compared to the other Chelsea defenders. James impressed early on with his attacking exploits and put in a few sensible crosses. He seems to have shaken off a poor run of form after the restart and looks good as a wing-back.

Jorginho - 4/10

Another player who failed to make the desired impact for Chelsea on the night. Jorginho was bullied by the Liverpool midfield and failed to clear the ball in the build-up to Georginio Wijnaldum's goal. The Italian also could not get tight enough to Andrew Robertson and stop the counter-attack for the fifth goal.

Mateo Kovacic - 5/10

The Croatian was unlucky to concede the free-kick which led to Alexander-Arnold's goal, but he was not his usual self by any stretch of the imagination. Kovacic did not get enough time on the ball to dictate terms and played catch up to the likes of Naby Keita and Georginio Wijnaldum.

Marcos Alonso - 5/10

The wing-back looked promising going forward at times in the first half. Alonso switched play efficiently a few times and played a part in Giroud's opening goal. However, he was not good enough to contain Liverpool in his own half and was always struggling to get back and help out his colleagues at the back.

Willian - 4/10

A poor display from Willian, especially since he has been such a key player for Chelsea since the restart. The Brazilian gave the ball away cheaply for Keita's opening goal and was sloppy with his passing and while going forward on the night.

Olivier Giroud - 6/10

The Frenchman bagged his customary goal just before the stroke of half-time. He was probably the only player asking questions of Liverpool in the first half, owing to his physicality and determination. Eventually replaced by Tammy Abraham.

Mason Mount - 5/10

The Chelsea starlet flashed a free header wide early on in the game. Perhaps things could have been better, if he could've kept his cool then. Not good enough to create any notable problems for Liverpool on the night.

Substitutes

Christian Pulisic - 8/10

Pulisic impressed off the bench
Pulisic impressed off the bench

Chelsea's best player on the night and he wasn't even on the pitch until the 60th minute. Pulisic showed real class to dribble through three players and set up Abraham, before getting on the score sheet himself with a good finish. Almost made it 4-4 as well. Great performance!

Callum Hudson-Odoi - 7/10

The youngster also impressed since coming on and helped tremendously in the build-up to Pulisic's goal. Chelsea's Hudson-Odoi injected pace and drive to the attack after replacing Mount.

Tammy Abraham - 6/10

Pulisic put it on a plate for him to score shortly after coming on. Not any notable contribution apart from that, but being at the right place at the right time is indeed a good quality.

Emerson - N/A

He replaced Marcos Alonso in the 88th minute for Chelsea.
