Chilean right back Mauricio Isla wants to stay at Juventus

Arsenal target Mauricio Isla has said that he is happy to stay at Juventus for as long as the Bianconeri want him. Targeted by Liverpool and Arsenal, the 26-year-old Chilean right back, who is currently playing in the World Cup, has turned a blind eye to all the speculations linking him with a move elsewhere.

The highly-rated Isla, who has spent his entire playing career in Italy so far claimed that he is settled and has desire to move away from Juventus. He insisted that he is happy at the club and that if he does move, the decision would rest with the club and not the player.

Isla told La Tercera: “I am working hard for both Chile and Juventus. For me it is all good.”

“Will I stay at Juventus? I know that the fans support me. I have learned from many players at Juventus and continue to work hard.”

Isla also added, “If the coach wants me to return, then I am glad because I want to do my best at the World Cup and then return to Juventus.”

Arsene Wenger was hoping that Isla would fill the hole left by Bacary Sagna’s move to Manchester City. But, the Chilean right back’s decision now means that both Arsenal and Liverpool will have to turn to other targets if they are to fill the right back slot.
