Liverpool legend Jan Molby has said that he would be surprised if Pepe Reina continues at Anfield after the signing of Simon Mignolet.
Liverpool signed Mignolet from Sunderland for a transfer fee of £9m and Molby believes that Reina will prefer to quit rather than play second fiddle to the Belgian.
Molby told Daily Star: “I’d be very surprised if both of them were there on September 1.
“In the first three or four years Pepe was here he was as good as the club’s ever had.
“He hasn’t quite been the same in the last couple of years but I think he’s a great keeper. Possibly the time has come for him to move on.”
