Pastore has emerged as a target for Liverpool

Liverpool are hoping to add PSG’s Javier Pastore to their ranks following his agents comments that the player is displeased with his time in the French capital. The Metro reports.

Pastore joined PSG from Italian side Palermo in 2011 but has struggled to find form with the French champions.

The Argentina international was a target for clubs this season but the player had said that he wanted to stay and prove to new manager Laurent Blanc that he is fit to play for th club.

In spite of the players comments the player has had a rough start this season and his agent said he may look for a move away from the club in January.

‘In football there are always ups and downs,’ said Marcelo Simonian.

‘He has been happy there, but now is not the time for nostalgia. We will see what happens in the next few months.’

The 24-year-old’s current situation will give Liverpool boss Brenden Rodgers a chance to make a January bud for the player.

The Reds are on the hunt for a crative midfielder after losing out on Willian to Chelsea this summer.

AC Milan and Napoli are also interested in Pastore, who is valued at around £17 million but Liverpool are confident that they will win the race for the players signature.
