Luis Suarez trains with the Liverpool first-team

Luis Suarez is back training with the first team after apologising to the club for his behaviour this summer transfer window.

There has been no official confirmation from either Liverpool or the striker, but according to Sky Sports, the striker did train with the squad on Friday.

Sky Sports sources say that Suarez apologised to his team-mates after arriving at Anfield from Japan, where he was with Uruguay on international duty.

Earlier, manager Brendan Rodgers categorically stated that Suarez would not be allowed to join up with the team until he said sorry for the lack of respect shown towards the club.

The Uruguay international has tried his best to force a move out of Anfield with a series of interviews since the summer transfer window began, stating that he wants to play champions League football next season, and as a result, not play for Liverpool any longer.

Liverpool rejected two bids from Arsenal, including an offer of £40,000,001 made on July 23. The thought behind such a bid on Arsenal’s part was they believed that it would trigger a release clause in Suarez’s contract. Liverpool, though, remained adamant that there is no such clause.

Suarez is not available to play for Liverpool until late September due to the Uruguayan international’s ten-match ban, after he bit Branislav Ivanovic of Chelsea last season.
