Man arrested for racial abuse in the Manchester derby

After the feisty encounter between the two Manchester Clubs ended, things went out of hand among the fans as well. Apart from the spectator trouble that was witnessed after Robin van Persie‘s goal, reports have emerged that the police have arrested another man under suspicion of racial abuse.

The Greater Manchester Police tweeted, “man arrested inside stadium on suspicion of committing a racially aggravated public order offence after officers hear racist chanting.”

Also, the police are growing through the CCTV footage from the stadium to identify the spectator that threw the coin at Rio Ferdinand, injuring him in the process.
