Rafa Benitez's Newcastle came into this game with no wins out of seven. The visitors struck twice in the opening 10 minutes and was well on their way to their first victory. They got chances to increase the lead before halftime only to be denied by David De Gea.

The second was a game changer for Rafa Benitez's men. They were pegged back all through the half and failed to come out of their box. Just when it looked like another defeat for the home side, United came up and completed a memorable come back to put further pressure on Newcastle United and dent their hopes of survival.
