Petr Cech - 6

Cech made a couple of excellent saves to prevent the hosts from heaping misery on the visitors. The Veteran could not be faulted for the concession of any of the three goals.

Hector Bellerin - 6

Bellerin made a bright start to the game and kept Leroy Sane at bay with a number of crucial interceptions. The Spaniard used his vast reserve of energy to bomb down City's left but couldn't offer much to his side's attack.

Laurent Koscielny - 6

The Frenchman put in a sturdy display and made a number of crucial tackles, interceptions to keep the City attack quiet up to a certain extent. Koscielny could have done a bit better in closing down de Bruyne in the build-up to the first goal.

Nacho Monreal - 4

The Spaniard looked out of sorts while playing at the heart of defence. Monreal was caught out of position on numerous occasions and was at fault for conceding the penalty that resulted in City's second.

Sead Kolasinac - 5

The Bosnian was troubled by the right side of City's attack on a number of occasions. Kolasinac couldn't offer much in attack and was lucky not to give away a penalty for a slight push on Sterling.

Francis Coquelin - 5.5

Coquelin made a shaky start to the game by giving away possession cheaply in the middle of the park. As the game progressed, the Frenchman's performance improved and put in a perfectly timed tackle in the second half to stop a marauding Sane from increasing the lead.

Granit Xhaka - 5

Xhaka lost possession cheaply in some crucial positions and was often overrun by City's midfield. Due to City's relentless pressing, the Swiss international could not offer those incisive passes which could cause some trouble to City's defence.

Aaron Ramsey - 6.5

Arsenal's best chance to score in the first half fell to Aaron Ramsey who's effort was smartly saved by Ederson. Ramsey's hard work was rewarded when he assisted Lacazette for Arsenal's only goal.

Alex Iwobi - 4.5

Iwobi lost possession on a number of occasions and didn't look to trouble City's defence. The Nigerian was later replaced by Wilshere in the second half.

Mesut Ozil - 4

Ozil endured a torrid time at the Etihad as he was well marshalled by City's defence. The German flattered to deceive on the big stage and was booked late in the second half.

Alexis Sanchez - 5

The Chilean could not trouble City's defence and was kept in check by Fernandinho, Stones, Otamendi for the majority of the game. Sanchez did not receive proper supply from the midfielders and didn't look to get into goal scoring positions.

Lacazette replaced Coquelin in the second half and pulled one back for Arsenal by slotting the ball past Ederson. The Frenchman got into vital positions and looked to reduce arrears on a number of occasions.

Jack Wilshere - N/A

Wilshere replaced Iwobi in the second half but didn't look to trouble City's defence during his short spell on the pitch.

Olivier Giroud - N/A

Giroud replaced Xhaka late in the second half, and didn't receive enough supply from the midfield to change the dynamic of the game.
