Alexis Sanchez has been linked to Manchester City for a long time. The Chilean winger is in the last months of his Arsenal contract and will be free to leave at the end of the season. Recent rumours have stated that City wants to sign him in January itself rather than waiting for the summer.

When De Bruyne was asked about the prospect of signing the winger, he refused to commit to any possibility. He said that the team is prepared to welcome any incoming players.

"Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period. We don't have to [think] about that anyway. If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn't come we do it with the team we have." De Bruyne said, as quoted by Goal.

"We are still in negotiations, I am waiting for an offer from the club but my agent has been on holiday for three weeks. There is nothing really new for the moment." De Bruyne said as quoted by the Goal
