Will he prove to be a good signing?

Manchester City agree deal to sign Aymeric Laporte

Manchester City have had a very successful season, but they are still looking to make improvements in the team. They have identified defence as one of the areas they can improve upon.

According to the Guardian, the Premier League leaders have agreed on a deal for Aymeric Laporte. The reports stated that Manchester City triggered the 57 million pound release clause of Laporte.

The 23-year-old French defender has made more than 200 appearances for the Basque club. While he is yet to make full international debut for France, the left-footed defender is a great prospect for the future. If he can build a good understanding with John Stones, future of City's defence would be in safe hands.

Manchester City willing to wait for Fred

Willing to wait until the summer transfer window?

Fernandinho has been brilliant for Manchester City this season. He has been central to City's success throughout the season and he has been rewarded with a contract extension.

The Premier League leaders are planning for the future and have shown interest in Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred. Pep Guardiola has identified the 24-year-old as a long time successor for Fernandinho.

According to the Manchester City Evening News, the Premier League leaders' valuation of 45 million pounds is not enough to persuade Shakhtar to sell their prized asset. Manchester City are willing to wait until summer to discuss the signing of Fred, as he is cup-tied and can't play in the Champions League.

Manchester United are favourites to sign Seri

Is Seri destined to go to red half of Manchester?

Jean Micheal Seri has been impressive over the last 18 months in Ligue 1. Bookies think Manchester United are set to hijack deal of Jean Michael Seri.

“Manchester United are currently ahead of neighbours Manchester City in the race to sign highly touted Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri," Ian Marmion of BetStars said as quoted by the Daily Star

Manchester United have already been successful in hijacking the Sanchez deal this window. If Bookies are to be believed, the Red Devils can do it again with Jean Michael Seri.
