Manchester City was constantly linked to Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the summer window. The Chilean winger will be out of contract in 6 months, and City is planning to sign him for free next summer rather than making a bid in January.

The Baggies are now openly considering the idea of selling Jonny Evans to get funds to sign a striker. West Brom manager Alan Pardew, admitted that he would have to generate funds by selling players and Evans can be sold.

"We are pretty tight financially. I am conscious if there are no funds available I might have to move something around, I have to get goals on the board otherwise you can't win games. So there is a scenario Jonny Evans might move and for sure I have looked at that." Pardew said as quoted by the Manchester City Evening News
