Manchester United put in a solid defensive performance

Ederson Moraes - 5/10

Ederson hardly had a save of note to make, but he produced some scrappy kicks, when he was called into action with the ball at his feet.

Kyle Walker - 5/10

Walker was very lucky to not have conceded another penalty, after a stupid challenge on Rashford. The VAR call to correctly adjudge Rashford offside spared Walker's blushes.

John Stones - 6/10

That's another clean sheet for Manchester City with Stones in the side. He was again solid today, and did what he had to, when called upon.

Ruben Dias - 6/10

Like Stones, Dias was solid without having to be spectacular. He did well to block a shot from Pogba in the first half.

Joao Cancelo - 6/10

Cancelo really should be offering more of a threat going forward, but his right-footedness is a concern when he plays as a left-back.

Rodri - 6/10

Rodri did get dragged out of position by the movement from the likes of Pogba and Fernandes, and was also pressed efficiently by the Manchester United midfield.

Fernandinho - 6/10

The Manchester City captain used all his experience and the not-so-glamorous tricks in the book to ensure that he was able to tie Bruno Fernandes down.

Kevin De Bruyne - 4/10

He cut a frustrated figure for most of that game. Manchester City didn't give him the ball as often as he wanted to. He also spurned two glorious opportunities to give City the lead.

Riyad Mahrez - 4/10

He had the biggest chance of the game but botched it by hitting it straight at De Gea. In addition, he was never able to get the better of Shaw at any point in the game.

Raheem Sterling - 5/10

Sterling's drought against Manchester United went on. He had an excellent chance in the first half, when he weaved his way past a couple of Manchester United challenges, but Maguire came up with a big block on his shot.

Gabriel Jesus - 5/10

He made some great runs into the box, but kept delaying his shot, which meant the chances were gone.

Substitutes

Ferran Torres - 5/10

He tried to use his pace to run at and beyond Shaw, but the Manchester United left-back tied him down superbly.
