What's the story?
Manchester United and Chelsea have been locking horns all season long - in the summer they fought over Romelu Lukaku, while Chelsea inexplicably allowed Nemanja Matic to wander his way up North... and things haven't improved.
Their managers have recently taken it to the next level by upping the ante by calling each other names and generally acting like they want to take each other down - and with the transfer market being the way it is, the mood's unlikely to become lighter.
With both teams looking to increase the potency of their forward line, Bayer Leverkusen's impressive young Jamaican, Leon Bailey has popped up on their radar, but the good folks over at Bleacher Report believe that the 20-year-old is headed to Manchester, for a hefty price tag of £40 million (or $54 million)

Bailey himself stoked the rumours whilst talking to Bild, saying - "Of course I have a dream club, but I will not tell. Basically, England was and still is my dream. And if I keep working hard, I'm sure it will work someday."
The heart of the matter
Bailey - comfortable on either wing or up top alongside Leverkusen's prolific Kevin Volland - has come on leaps and bounds in his year with Leverkusen after joining them during last year's winter transfer window for $16 million and while he only started 8 games (with no goals) that season, this time around he's got 8 from 16 playing off a wide position.
Just 20, both United and Chelsea sense the potential lurking within the speedy Jamaican and hence the early moves to sign him on... however, it's likely any move would happen only in the summer.

With both sides looking for creativity and an X-factor off the wings, Bailey could be the one to provide just that. Fast and direct, both coaches would love to have someone like the Jamaican in their side... and in the long run, $54 million could just turn out to be a bargain.
