Monaco left-back Layvin Kurzawa has said that he wants to join Manchester United.

It has been known since David Moyes arrived at Man United that he wanted to sign a new left-back, after attempting to sign Leighton Baines from his former club, Everton. He has also been linked with Southampton’s Luke Shaw as the Frenchman’s replacement who is likely to leave in the summer.

A summer of change beckons at Old Trafford, with Moyes expected to be backed to the hilt in reshaping the Man United squad to his own preference.

Central midfielders are a priority for Moyes but he also wants to improve his defence, with Nemanja Vidic set to join Inter and Evra’s future uncertain.

This has led to interest in Kurzawa, with club scouts having watched him star for Monaco throughout the season. He has featured in 26 Ligue 1 matches so far this campaign, all of which he started. He has even scored five goals.

The France Under-21 international is delighted with United’s interest and told beIN Sports: “The club of my dreams? Manchester United.

“It is one of my goals to play there one day.”

Kurzawa is one of the club’s top scorers in Ligue 1 with five goals, just four fewer than Falcao.
