Andre Ayew: Would like to come to the Premier League

Liverpool and Manchester United are both reportedly monitoring Marseille winger Andre Ayew, according to the Daily Express, after the Ghanaian admitted that he is keen on a move away from the Ligue 1 club and would fancy playing in the Premier League.

Despite incoming manager Louis van Gaal delaying Nani’s impending move to Juventus until he has run the rule over the Portuguese winger, other alternatives are being monitored and Ayew is believed to be a man of interest due to his versatility on either flank.

Ayew has admitted that a move to England in the summer would be his preferred choice, but has warned potential suitors that they may need to act fast in order to secure his services for next season, with Napoli having already made contact.

Ayew told reporters, “Yes, it is true that there was an offer from Naples. It has also been confirmed by my agent, but I shall decide my future.

“It will be up to the company to make decisions. I have a contract with Marseille and we have not yet sat down to talk about my future.

“It’s too early to say whether the club will accept the offer from Napoli – however, if I were to go to Napoli or another team, it will be decided after the World Cup in Brazil.

“It’s true that I have a real preference for England. The English league is the one most followed in Ghana. I like a bit of everything; the atmosphere, the game, the fans. There is a lot of intensity. it is a beautiful championship.”
