Manchester United face West Ham United tomorrow as the Red Devils will look to get back to winning ways after a 1-1 draw with Arsenal left them feeling in the sixth spot on the league table. Despite being nine points adrift of leaders, Chelsea, Jose Mourinho was adamant in his pre-match press conference that his side still has a chance of winning the league title as he gave examples of his past experiences of winning the Premier League with Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho will be glad that the Red Devils are slowly picking up form after an impressive 4-0 win over Feyenoord in the Europa League. Henrikh Mkhitaryan dazzled for United along with captain Wayne Rooney who was in the media attention for all the wrong reasons lately. With Chelsea and Spurs set to battle it out this game week, Jose Mourinho knows the importance of getting all three points against the Hammers to continue building the pressure on the sides above them.

When asked about his side's title credentials, Mourinho could not stop (again) from taking a dig at Arsene Wenger as he said, "When I won the last title 18 years ago, sorry, 18 months ago, I had a 10 points advantage and then, in one month, I had the same points as Man City. We lost 10 points in one month. I think it was the end of December or the beginning of January and we'd lost 10 points."

The Portuguese gave an example of the previous seasons as he continued, "Then we recovered and won that title 18 years ago, sorry, 18 months ago. You can recover points. Others can lose points." He also reflected on the statement that he gave last week where he claimed that United were 'the unluckiest team in the league' as some decisions looked to go against his team.

When asked about his side's luck going into the next game, Mourinho said, "During the season, there are moments when everything goes against you and moments where everything goes in your favour. We know that the game is not over, but the reality is there is a distance."

Mourinho had complained over a penalty appeal which United were denied in their draw against Arsenal as Nacho Monreal had looked to have pulled back United's Antonio Valencia.

After a high margin victory in the midweek, Mourinho wants his team to concentrate on a run of wins rather than a single big victory. He continued, "Thursday it was 4-0. One day it can happen, but big results are not very usual in the Premier League. We lost 4-0 and sometimes somebody loses 5-1 or whatever but it's not very usual. There is a great balance between the teams. Every game is very difficult. But rather than winning one game 5-0, we need to win four or five matches. That's what we need. Let's try to get points."
