#1 Manchester United want Gremio's Everton Soares

According to ESPN, Manchester United are currently monitoring Gremio sensation Everton Soares. Manchester City have also been keeping tabs on the striker.

However, the Red Devils face an uphill task in wanting to sign Everton, who recently signed a contract extension until 2022 with his club in August. His new deal has a release clause of £60 million.

#2 Antonio Valencia contradicts Jose Mourinho

Manchester United right-back has revealed the reason behind his month-long absence in the United lineup. The Ecuadorian last appeared for the Red Devils in their 0-0 draw against Valencia in the Champions League at the start of October.

Mourinho stated that injury had kept the 33-year-old out of contention. However, Valencia has contradicted him in his recent statements following Ecuador's 2-0 win against Peru.

Commenting on the situation he said:

”Right now I haven’t been playing, but it’s more of a tactical decision. The player who has been in my place (Ashley Young) has been playing well. You have to respect the decision.”

However, Valencia also stated that he wasn't worried as he added:

“The only thing I can do is prepare and be ready for when he (Mourinho) needs me and be in the right condition to compete."

“I’m calm right now and I know I’ll get an opportunity to play again. The relationship with Mourinho has always been a good one.”

#3 Manchester United to face Leeds United in the pre-season tour

Manchester United will face their long-term bitter rivals Leeds United when they travel to Australia for their pre-season tour in July 2019, as reported by The World Game. The two clubs will meet for the first time in the last 8 years since their previous clash that took place in a League Cup game in September 2011. The match ended with a 3-0 result in the favour of the Red Devils.

The Optus Stadium in Perth has been selected as the venue for the game. The stadium has a capacity of 60,000. Manchester United will also face Perth Glory before coming up against Leeds United.
