Jose Mourinho has suggested that Manchester United outcasts, Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin are free to leave the club in January as he is willing to listen to offers from other clubs. Neither Schneiderlin nor Depay have started a single Premier League game for the Red Devils under Mourinho this season and were not even on the bench for last week’s game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The duo’s ousting from the club’s Europa League squad to face Zorya Luhansk has further made it clear about Mourinho’s intent to offload the players in the January transfer window. When asked about Depay and Schneiderlin in his weekly news conferences, Mourinho said: "I am always open to listen to offers for every player.”

"But more than listen to offers, I am always ready to listen to the players themselves.

"So any player who knocks on my door and is not happy and wants to move, when the offers are correct, I will never stop a player from leaving, even if it is to a rival.”

Mourinho also mentioned about Juan Mata after his controversial decision to sell the Spanish midfielder to the Red Devils while he was still managing Chelsea.

"When Juan Mata left Chelsea to come to Manchester United, no problem at all. In my mentality, no problem at all. I am always open."

According to reports, Everton manager, Ronald Koeman is keen on signing fellow countryman, Memphis Depay and French international Morgan Schneiderlin on a loan deal in January next year. Koeman believes that Schneiderlin, who played under the Dutch manager during their stint at Southampton FC has all the qualities to be a long-term replacement for Gareth Barry in midfield.

The Everton vice-captain is one of the longest serving players in the Premier League with more than 600 appearances.

Memphis Depay can also be a vital signing for the Dutch manager especially since he is need of an established winger for his team. Summer signing Yannick Bolasie suffered a knee ligament injury which has ruled out the Frenchman for the rest of the campaign.

Ronald Koeman’s Toffees are slowing climbing the Premier League table and are currently in the 7th position with 23 points, just one point off Manchester United. Everton spoiled Arsenal’s chance to go top of the League after coming back from a goal down to win 2-1 against the Gunners on Wednesday. Everton will next face Liverpool in the much awaited Merseyside derby at Goodison Park in the Premier League next week.
