Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's Manchester United Transfer Roundup. Let's take a look at the top transfer news, rumours and updates of the day involving Manchester United.

Diogo Dalot opens up on future at Old Trafford

Diogo Dalot hasn't found life easy at Manchester United yet. Still playing second fiddle to an ageing Ashley Young, Dalot is quite confident about his future in Manchester. He told Sky Sports (courtesy: MEN)

“It’s a massive learning curve. I think the first part of the season was tough because I had injuries, and I only started playing and training with full fitness from December on.
“This year was a learning year for me, and I will keep learning more until the end of the season. [I’ve learned] more mentally to be ready for this kind of situation, to get an injury, to not play, to start getting fit again. For me, to learn that was a big achievement, and I think I am doing pretty well"
“I’m enjoying it. I came to this club and knew it would be difficult for me, I have good players in my position and I can learn a lot from them. I think I can have the opportunity to play many, many years here.”

According to Marca (via TeamTalk), Manchester United are targeting Ivan Rakitic to solve their midfield issues. With Rakitic's situation at Barcelona continuing to be a bit iffy, the Red Devils are hoping to capitalize.

Mundo Deportivo had also earlier claimed that United were keeping tabs on the Croat. However, Rakitic remained tight-lipped about a possible move away and after their win against Sevilla, he said,

“I have three more years on my contract. I want to stay here. I’m flattered that big clubs ask about me, if they do, but I only see myself at Barca. I laugh a little bit in the morning with my coffee when I see [the stories] about my future,”

Bruno Fernandes, the Sporting Lisbon midfielder, who has been linked with Liverpool now seems to be inching closer towards securing a switch to Manchester United, according to reports in Spain via (MEN).

Sporting Lisbon's standout player so far this season, Bruno Fernandes has 11 goals and 7 assists to his name in the league. The report claims that the Portuguese club is open to selling their talismanic midfielder due to their recent financial problems.

Liverpool were rumoured to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old but now that the Red Devils have established contact, they are favourites to land Fernandes as money has seldom been an issue for the Old Trafford outfit.
