The Sporting Lisbon player is a priority for Solskjaer, as he plans to revamp his midfield after the departure of Ander Herrera. The Norwegian believes that Fernandes will be the perfect addition to take United forward next season and is desperate to bring him to Old Trafford.
A central midfielder has become a priority of late and Fernandes, who scored 32 goals and registered 18 assists from Sporting Lisbon last season, was shortlisted by Solskjaer as the man who can bring the thrust and energy in the midfield in his new look team next season.
Tottenham and Liverpool are also reported to be interested, but Fernandes supposedly prefers a move to Old Trafford.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two.
