Manchester United on red alert as Thomas Meunier hints at exit
Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier has dropped a bombshell regarding his future at the Parc des Princes. The Belgian has confirmed that he will leave the French champions on a free transfer if the club fail to offer him a new contract.
When asked about a potential free transfer by Les Parisien, Meunier replied,
“It's something that could suit me.”
“There have been phone calls since January with interested clubs. There are a dozen clubs, all of which are in the top five of their leagues."
Meunier has just twelve months left on his current contract and is waiting for an improved offer from Paris Saint-Germain. He has also confessed to being a Manchester United fan since his childhood.
Should Meunier be sold this summer, United could definitely be the front-runners in the race for his signature.
