What's the story?

With the transfer window coming to end in a few days, Sevilla are looking to persuade Manchester United Anthony Martial by offering him a new and better contract.

According to trusted media outlet Daily Mail, Spanish side Sevilla has intensified their hunt for a new forward after their failure to secure the services of Alvaro Morata and will try to sign Anthony Martial from the EPL giants.

In case you didn't know...

Anthony Martial has grown into a starter in Manchester United with his majestic displays. In a season where Manchester United one of the worst starts in their history, Anthony Martial was one of the standout players for the club.

The 23-year-old French winger has scored 8 goals and provided 1 assist in the current season and has proven to be a player of major impact for the squad when he is on the pitch.

Signed from Monaco almost 2 years ago, Martial endured both good and bad times with Red Devils under coaches like Louis Van Gaal and Jose Mourinho. After the departure of defensive minded Jose Mourinho, the whole United team looks rejuvenated and Martial is no exception.

The heart of the matter

Manchester United are in talks with Anthony Martial over a new contract as he is happy after the departure of Jose Mourinho. But Spanish side Sevilla are keen to offer him a new career in Spain if Martial fails to agree the terms of a new contract.

Sevilla are desperate to bolster their forward line and the failure to get Alvaro Morata made them more keen on Anthony Martial. According to the report, the French winger is aware that Sevilla can offer him a way out if he and his current club fails to agree on the new terms of contract.

Rumour rating: 6/10

It is highly unlikely that Anthony Martial will leave the current club and EPL Giants Manchester United who are on their way up for Sevilla.

Even if the Spanish side are desperate, it will be tough for them to secure the services of Martial in the January transfer window.

What's next?

Under the guidance of interim manager Solskjaer, United looks way better than their recent chaotic times under Jose Mourinho. The players seem to be enjoying their game on the pitch which will only bolster their chances of top four finish but the departure of key player like Martial will only hamper their new found hopes.
