#8 Wide Midfield – Santi Cazorla
Santi Cazorla’s creativity and innovativeness keeps him in the first team ahead of Mesut Ozil and Francis Coquelin. In addition, his ability to cross and pass with both feet will come in handy.
It would seem as though the 30-year-old has been the best in his position in the league so far. Among the 34 matches Cazorla has started in so far in the Premier League, he has gone on to score 7 goals and 9 assists many of which came from corners and free-kicks.
#9 Left Wing – Ashley Young
Following a couple of injury-riddled seasons, Ashley Young is in the form of his life. The former England international was the key as he provided the cross that allowed Fellaini to put his side in the lead against a strong Crystal Palace.
The 29-year-old former England international has created 32 chances this season so far, many of which have become headed goals for Marouane Fellaini. One of Young’s 10 crosses in the match against Crystal Palace saw Marouane Fellaini head in the winner.
#10 Right Wing – Alexis Sanchez
Similar to David de Gea, Alexis Sanchez is one of the first players on the team sheet. That said it can be agreed upon that Sanchez has been the spark that Arsenal have been craving for. The Arsenal winger has been instrumental with his goals, assists and set piece ability.
However, in terms of scoring goals and providing assists, Sanchez has scored 16 and assisted a massive 8. His 107 shots on target this season is evidence of the danger he poses.
#11 Striker – Olivier Giroud
Olivier Giroud makes the cut ahead of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao. Strength and aerial prowess are a few of the many positive attributes that Giroud brings to the table.
The 28-year-old French international has been the main target man for Arsene Wenger’s men with 17 goals in all competitions. Given the fact that Giroud has excelled in every department for Arsenal this season, he will be key when Arsenal face off against Manchester United in the battle for Champions League places on Sunday.
