Match Preview: Inter Milan vs AC Milan

Derby Della Madonnina - AC Milan vs Internazionale Milano is one of the most anticipated games of the year, as both set of fans look all set to see their team reign superior tonight.

Inter coming off a 2-1 home win against Fiorentina last Sunday and a 3-1 Europa League win against Neftchi on Thursday – key results that will certainly give them a push ahead of this spectacle. AC Milan on the other hand, are going into this game with a draw and a win from their last two games. The draw came against a struggling Parma where both sides paid a penalty of squandering numerous chances.

Stephan El Shaarawy is coming into tonight’s clash in hot form as he has been scoring most of Milan’s goals of late. With the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer, Milan needed somebody to step up in his place and El Shaarawy has hinted that he is the man to do so.

Antonio Cassano will have a rude awakening along with Giampaolo Pazzini, as both players were recently swapped by the Milan clubs. Pazzini had an amazing game with Milan on his debut scoring a hat trick against Bologna to give them a win, while Cassano also scoring in his debut game with Inter, a deflected goal against Roma.

If I had to choose a winner between this game I would have to go with Inter, only because I have seen what they can do with the ball. Milan on the other hand, have failed to impress this season.

Let’s not forget that it is relatively early to judge this Milan side which has been marred by some key departures. However, the composure of their defensive and the ever improving attack, promises some better football in the coming games.
