Sheringham has urged Solskjaer to sign Maguire
Teddy Sheringham has urged Solskjaer to sign Harry Maguire, according to the Metro. The English defender has been in United's radar since last summer when Mourinho failed in his bid to bring Maguire to Old Trafford. This summer, a centre-back is Solskjaer's number one priority and the Norwegian's old teammate has advised him to look no further than the Leicester City defender.

"Central defence is a big area where they need to find a Vincent Kompany or Tony Adams-type player
"I think Harry Maguire is the one for me. He’s got great leadership qualities, and has a real calming influence.
"He’s very similar to Rio Ferdinand, in that he’s cool on the ball and defends very well. That would be a fine start from my point of view."

Maguire, who is currently with the England national team, was asked about the speculations surrounding him, and the Leicester City defender said,
"When I am away with England I don’t think about anything to do with club football.
"As soon as I wear the badge my only focus is on England. I am fully focused on the two games coming up."
With deals for Kalidou Koulibaly and Matthijs de Ligt looking increasingly unlikely, should Solskjaer go for Maguire? We revealed in this segment on 24th May that Leicester City have set a £90 million price for the Englishman. So, United will have to shell out the cash to bring him to Old Trafford. One can expect to hear a lot more about the Englishman in the next few days.

Inspired by Diego Maradona, Deepungsu played as an attacking midfielder for his local club at subdivision level in his initial years and scored an important goal or two.
