Mehtab Hussain to undergo trial at English club

It has been reported that East Bengal midfielder, Mehtab Hussain will undergo a trial at league two club, Exeter City, based in Exeter, England.

Former East Bengal striker, Alan Gow was greatly impressed by Mehtab’s talent, and he arranged the trial for this promising player. Additionally, he has also arranged a few trials at other League One Clubs for Mehtab.

The 5 feet 7 ½ inch midfielder bagged two awards in the 2010-11 season for his heroics in the I-league. He won the Best Indian Player Award and the Fans’ Player of the Year Award.

He joined the Red & Gold Brigade in 2005, and has been representing the club ever since. Last season however was disappointing for Mehtab, as he was plagued with injuries throughout the season.

From his early childhood days, Mehtab’s dream has been to become a footballer and play in Europe. One half of his dream has been completed, but the other half part is in the progress of being completed.
