Midtjylland and Eintracht Frankfurt return to action in the UEFA Europa League when they square off at the MCH Arena on Thursday.
Adam Buksa’s 36th-minute strike was enough to inspire Midtjylland to a hard-earned 1-0 victory over Silkeborg in the Danish Super Liga on Monday. Thomas Thomasberg’s side had lost their previous four outings across competitions, conceding nine goals and scoring once since October.
Midtjylland now turn their focus to the Europa League, where they have one win in their opening three games and a loss, 2-0 at FCSB this month.
Meanwhile, Frankfurt continue to ride pretty high in the Bundesliga, securing a 1-0 victory over Werder Bremen on Saturday. Dino Toppmoller’s men have won five games on the trot across competitions, including a 7-2 steamrolling of Bochum at the Deutsche Bank Park in November.
Frankfurt return to action in the Europa League, where they have three wins in four matches to sit fourth in the points table, three points above Midtjylland in 13th place.
