AC Milan are reportedly contemplating offloading star winger Stephan El Shaarawy this summer, believing they could cash in on the injury prone star with several Premier League sides interested in his signature.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all believed to have held long-standing interest in the Italian international, with Liverpool in particular believed to have made an enquiry last summer, before an injury-hit season for Milan.

Liverpool are now believed to prefer Alexis Sanchez as their wide-man target, but El Sharaawy’s brother and agent Manuel has admitted that he could be sold off this summer, though he would prefer to remain at the San Siro.

Manuel El Shaarawy told reporters, “He always put in performances when he was fit, and his last two appearances showed he has found his form after a long lay-off.

“Will his future be at Milan? We’ll have to wait and see what the club decides on the market. Stephan is certainly an important player, but there are many issues going on, starting from the issue of the coach.

“He has always been a Milan fan, so the intention is to stay, but we need to evaluate all the situations. We have to see what the club decides.”
