Monaco insist James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao could be sold for the right price

Monaco president Vadim Vasilyev insists no ones future is safe at the club and admits that if the offer is right for star duo James Rodriguez and Radamel Falcao, then the French giants may have to sell.

Rodriguez is the subject of severe interest from several clubs, including Manchester United and Real Madrid, while Radamel Falcao has been heavily linked with a return to Spain.

Real Madrid are keeping tabs on the Colombian duo and are favourites to bring Falcao back to Madrid, after he left Atletico for France last summer.

Rodriguez is the one who has all eyes on him however, after some scintillating performances at the World Cup for Colombia in Falcao’s absence. The former Porto striker was ruled out of the tournament with injury and Rodriguez has stepped up to the plate in his place.

With all the interest in the players, Monaco admit they want to keep the players but may find it hard.

Vadim Vasilyev told reporters: “There are no negotiations with any club for Falcao.

“We have not talked about that. We count on him and believe he will have a great season in 2014-2015.

“Nobody is not transferable, I don’t know of any examples in football – yet there is no discussion, we rely on him.

“Everyone was surprised at the large sum we spent [on Rodriguez] last year and now everyone is talking about him. That means that we were right.

“We strongly believe in this player, it is very important to us, he still has four years on his contract and we will do many great things together.”Rodriguez has had a shot accuracy of 88% at the World Cup for Colombia.
