Moving Day: A Busy Day for Liverpool FC in the Transfer Market

We’re edging closer, and closer to transfer deadline day, and Brendan Rodgers seems in a hurry to get rid and get in players.

Goodbye Jay Spearing

Personally, found this slightly strange given the fact that Lucas Leiva has just recently been ruled out for around 2 months with a thigh injury and Spearing is the only other true defensive midfielder on our roster, but it is almost close to completion.

Wish him all the best and will hope to see him be a success at Bolton.

Dalglish Signings Out of the Door

If anything, Dalglish’s reign can be described as wasteful in the transfer market. The Scotsman forked out exorbitant fees for players who failed to shine at Anfield, including the likes of Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll.

Brendan Rodgers deems Adam, Downing and Carroll surplus to requirements, and is set to offload the trio sometime over the next few days. Downing and Adam’s exits are apparently to help fund a move for Chelsea’s out of favour Daniel Sturridge.

Joe Cole is another player rumoured to be headed out of Merseyside sometime soon.

Daniel Sturridge

Yep. Talked about funding the move earlier, and according to The Daily Mirror, it is going to take 15 million pounds to do so. Stewart Downing’s availability has just only been semi-announced, so it’s going to remain tough getting Sturridge to Anfield, considering Chelsea are also lacking in the strikers department.

And the Carroll money is reportedly going towards funding this guy.
