Gary Neville expresses admiration for 'aggressive' Costa

Costa is currently serving a three match ban

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has come out in support of Diego Costa for his temperament on field. The revelation comes hours after his ex-teammate Paul schools also expressed his admiration towards the player.

In a tweet earlier this week, Neville had said “My personal view is that Costa in a process should get off his charge. Impossible to prove he meant it and he doesn't look at the player”.

Several of Costa’s team-mates have come out in support of the player as well. Eden Hazard said earlier in the week, “When you play with this guy, you have to give everything. You can see in every action and for every ball, he gives his life.”

However, Gary Neville was far more blatant with his choice of words. He said, “The outrage over Chelsea striker's 'stamp' was ludicrous - his aggression is brilliant for English football and an example to everyone”.

Diego Costa’s punishment has definitely increased his admiration in the football fraternity.
