Arsenal are interested in signing Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid in the upcoming summer transfer window, as per TBR Football. The 25-year-old came through the ranks at Manchester City's academy and also played under Pep Guardiola for the senior team. Diaz is a winger who can also operate as an attacking midfielder.
Diaz was sent on loan to AC Milan by Real Madrid for three seasons from 2020 to 2023, but with a growing list of injuries to the latter, has found himself highly valued at the moment. The Moroccan international has played in seven matches in La Liga this season, scoring one goal and bagging one assist.
Diaz graduated from the Manchester City academy to the senior team in 2016 and even played one and a half seasons for them. He accumulated 15 matches for the Cityzens under Guardiola and found the back of the net on two occasions. Madrid first signed him up in the 2019 January transfer window.
Arsenal will be looking to boost their attacking ranks next summer
Arsenal have an array of options in their front line, including the renowned Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Bukayo Saka, and Kai Havertz among others. Still, Diaz's arrival is bound to give them a big boost. However, it was recently reported that Madrid were not keen on selling Diaz to his former club AC Milan.
If they do decide to allow Diaz to return to the Premier League, Madrid will ask for a hefty sum for their winger, and Arsenal will have to open their purses up for this purchase. TBR Football also reports that along with the Gunners, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United are keeping an eye on Diaz.
Real Madrid, who are second in LaLiga at the moment with 27 points, will hope that the flurry of injuries they have in their side abates soon. They will be without key players such as Eder Militao, David Alaba, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Rodrygo, among others, for their next game against Leganes on Sunday, November 24.
