Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere explains the reason behind his gesture

Don’t screw with my children!

Arsenal star Jack Wilshere, currently suspended for 2 games for his abusive hand gesture towards the Manchester City fans explained that the reaction was a result of jibes about his children.

Here’s what Wilshere had to say:

Wilshere, 21 missed Monday’s draw against Chelsea and is set to miss the Gunner’s trip to West Ham due to the suspension.

Arsenal were beaten 6-3 by Manchester City at the Etihad stadium, and the Football Association suspended Wilshere for his obscene gesture which was later reviewed retrospectively. Wilshere can return for Arsenal’s match at Newcastle on 29 December.
