Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr teammate, Angelo, has revealed that the Portuguese superstar always asks him about football in Brazil. He added that the legendary footballer does not have a favorite team in the Brazilian Serie A but talks about the top clubs.
Speaking to ESPN, Angelo said Ronaldo imagines himself enjoying coconut water on the beaches in Brazil. The 20-year-old said (via GOAL):
"He always asks about everything, how the national team is doing, what the league is like here, because he knows that some players have come here, like Neymar and Memphis (Depay). He always asks which team is leading the Brasileirão, which he always follows."
He added:
"He doesn't say he likes a specific team, but he always says when he takes off his shirt: 'Imagine me on the Copacabana beach drinking a coconut water.' He always lets out these comments, he always talks about Flamengo, Santos, Corinthians, and Palmeiras."
Angleo joined Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr from Chelsea in 2024 for a reported fee of just under £20 million.
Pundit urges Cristiano Ronaldo to move to South America
Jorge D'Alessandro was on El Chiringuito in May and wished for Cristiano Ronaldo to move to Argentina. The former player opined that the Portuguese superstar would be a great signing for Boca Juniors, and he will win over the Argentine fans as well. D'Alessandro said (via GOAL):
"It gives me goosebumps... Directing Boca's attack? Boca needs him. He's going to the land of Leo Messi, Diego Maradona, and Hugo Gatti... imagine that! Let Riquelme try it, please! I see him more at Boca than at a Brazilian team. He identifies more with a need, also because of his personality, because of the way he plays... That vertigo that Boca has, next to Zenón, next to Merentiel... I'm going crazy!"
"Boca is truly in an institutional crisis, it is a ship adrift. I think Ronaldo would arrive as a balm for Boca, as well as a chance to improve their footballing level. And for him, it would mean that Argentina would pay homage to him in the place of the greatest, indirectly Messi and directly Maradona," he added.
Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to sign a new deal at Al-Nassr and has been linked with various clubs across the world. Al-Hilal, their Saudi Pro League rivals, are said to be in the race, while Botafogo and Wydad Casablanca are also interested.
