Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti destroyed Valencia fans for their actions during the La Liga away clash against Valencia on Sunday (May 21). Valencia fans slurred racial chants at Vinicius during the game.

The game was even paused on one occasion as the Brazilian attacker, along with his teammates, went to point out the fan who hurled abuses at the player. Ancelotti has now chimed in on the same, telling Movistar football (h/t Madrid Zone):

“It's not a person who yells 'm*nkey'; it's the stadium that insults a player for racism.”

During his time in Spain, Vinicius has been the target of fans on multiple occasions. He has been at the attacking end of racism as well on many instances.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, suffered a shock 1-0 defeat at the Mestalla. Diego Lopez scored the only goal of the game in the 33rd minute. Los Blancos slipped down to third spot as a result of the loss. They have 71 points from 35 games and trail second-placed Atletico Madrid by a point.

What did Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti say about Vinicius?

While Vinicius has helped Real Madrid win many important games, the player is still only 22. Apart from the racist abuse at the Mestalla, he was also sent off late in stoppage time.

Being subject to racism and constant hate from fans could take a major toll on Vinicius. Ancelotti was asked how the Brazilian was feeling after the incident at the Mestalla and his red card. The Italian said (via Madrid Universal):

“He’s still a kid, and he just wants to play football. Now the Bernabeu can’t watch him on Wednesday because someone in VAR invented some violent conduct that didn’t exist.
"He was being held by the Valencia player, and he tried to break free and they show him a red card. We’re all with him. He is sad, of course. Not angry, sad.”

Los Blancos return to action on May 24 against Rayo Vallecano in a La Liga home clash. They can't afford any more slip ups if they are to secure second spot.
