The 23-year-old created four big chances but didn't have any shots on target. He also lost five duels, completed 14 passes with an accuracy of 74 percent, failed to complete both dribbles and landed just one cross from five attempts. The Brazil international also had a poor 2023-24 season, scoring eight goals in 44 appearances across competitions. He was also dropped in the second half of the season, with manager Mikel Arteta preferring to utilise Leandro Trossard on the left wing. One fan posted:"Martinelli will be gone next year. Quality wise, he sticks out like a sore thumb in this Arsenal side. Comfortably our worst player technically and definitely our least intelligent attacker. Chance after chance goes begging down his side. Top LW elevates us by 10 goals minimum"Another fan said:"Martinelli is not that guy anymore. Time to drop him and move on. It was fun while it lasted . Edu should get a proper LW immediately !"Other fan reactions can be seen below:"Btw if arteta thinks martinelli is good enough to be in a squad to win us a title he’s crazy. martinelli isn’t a footballer," one fan said."Martinelli's decision making stinks," one fan posted."I swear on my life, martinelli ain’t him at all," another added."Lord knows I'm tired of Martinelli. Not this again this season," another chimed in,"Want to hear a harsh truth?
