During a post-match interaction on Sky Sports, Redknapp asserted that Chelsea have a difficult task for securing UEFA Champions League next season. He elaborated:

"I think they have got the toughest game... to go to Forest [on the final Premier League matchday], that's a really difficult game. If they can get three points there, obviously they've given themselves Champions League football. It's going to be tight this... anything can still happen."

Redknapp, who represented Liverpool 308 times from 1991 to 2002, said:

"[The Blues] are the team that I worry about the most, going to Forest. [Forest's 2-1 win over West Ham United] has given them real belief and hope, but even if they win [the final league match], it doesn't guarantee they go into the Champions League."

While Enzo Maresca's club are on 66 points, Newcastle United and Aston Villa are also on 66 points from 37 league matches. Manchester City are sixth with 65 points from 36 Premier League games.

Pundit says Chelsea should not sign 33-year-old

Kevin De Bruyne announced last month he will leave Manchester City as a free agent. The Belgian is reportedly on the lookout for a new club.

However, ex-Chelsea defender William Gallas is of the opinion that Enzo Maresca's side should not re-sign De Bruyne this summer. He told online betting website Live Casinos (h/t Metro):

"The issue is having two playmakers in the same position, it might harm the development of Cole Palmer because he would have to play out wide again. It happened when they were both at Manchester City, that's why we saw Palmer move to Chelsea and look at what he has done since. It would be exciting to see De Bruyne back, but it would be a very difficult situation for the manager."

De Bruyne, who made nine total appearances for Chelsea, is considered one of the best Premier League midfielders in history. The 33-year-old is a six-time Premier League winner. He has bagged 108 goals and laid out 177 assists in 420 outings in all competitions for City.
