Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has urged Liverpool to accept Mohamed Salah's contract demands as speculation over the forward's future continues.

The Canadian was speaking on his Twitch channel when he touched upon Salah's current contract situation. He said:

“Just give the guy his money man."

Davies' reaction comes after Salah's inspired performance in Liverpool's 2-0 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion. The Egyptian scored a penalty in the second half to help his side secure a crucial win.

Salah is yet to agree new terms with the Reds, and his contract is set to run out in 2023.

However, the forward continues to break records for Jurgen Klopp's side. He broke the record for most consecutive goals scored in a season by a Reds player (10) earlier in the season.

The 30-year-old is currently the Premier League's top goalscorer with 20 goals so far. He also equaled Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy's record for the most consecutive goals in the EPL (15) in December.

Fabrizio Romano recently reported that terms offered to Salah back in December were below his expectations and were subsequently declined. However, the Reds and the star forward are willing to reach an agreement on a new contract.

Liverpool fans would have been fretting when Fabrizio Romano revealed that Mo Salah had rejected a new deal at Anfield.

The forward has become a world-class talent and club legend during his time at Anfield. He is a true fan-favorite around the red side of Merseyside.

However, fans should not be too fearful as it is believed that he is not looking for a move out of Anfield this summer.

His contract with the Reds runs until 2023, so there will be a need for the club chiefs to hurry up and get a deal signed with the Egyptian.

On Salah's side of the negotiations, there is obvious pressure being put on the club to meet his demands over a new contract.

Jurgen Klopp said in reaction to the rejection of a new deal (via This is Anfield):

“The club did what the club can do.”

Salah's agent Ramy Abbas Issa seemingly reacted to Klopp's statement, mocking it on Twitter with laughing face emojis.

Salah's contractual situation at Anfield is becoming more and more interesting. Liverpool will need to take quick action before it becomes a more heightened issue.
