Manchester United have offered close to €70 million for the services of Ivan Toney this summer, according to TEAMtalk via reports in Spain.

The English striker is in the final 18 months of his contract with Brentford and is expected to leave this year. Toney is a proven name in the Premier League, with Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur also hot on his heels. However, the Red Devils are hoping to beat the competition by moving early for the 28-year-old.

Erik ten Hag spent £72 million to bring Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta last summer, but the Dane is not a finished product yet. The Dutch manager wants an experienced head to become the focal point of his attack next season and has turned to Toney.

The Englishman has appeared 141 times across competition for the Bees across competitions, scoring 72 goals and setting up 22.

Bruno Fernandes is eager to win trophies with Manchester United according to acclaimed transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

The Portuguese midfielder's future has been subject to speculation recently, but he remains a key part of plans at Old Trafford. Bruno has been a first-team regular since joining the club in January 2020 and was handed the armband at the start of the season.

In his column for Caught Offside, Romano added that both parties are happy together and are not considering a change.

“Man United and INEOS really want to continue with Bruno and Bruno has always been super committed. The idea of the player has always been to stay at Manchester United and continue to fight for the badge and the club. He wants to help them win titles in the future. They feel really, really good together,” said Romano.

The 29-year-old has appeared 47 times across competitions this season for the Red Devils, registering 15 goals and 12 assists.

Manchester United will make a decision on Erik ten Hag's future after the FA Cup final against Manchester City, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Dutch manager won the EFL Cup last season but has struggled to live up to expectations in his second campaign. The Red Devils finished eighth in the Premier League and will only play in Europe next season if they win the FA Cup.

In his column for Caught Offside, Romano added that the Premier League giants want to plan for the new season immediately after the FA Cup final.

“Nothing is decided yet on the future of Erik ten Hag – Manchester United want to wait until after the FA Cup final, and then United want to advance in internal talks to make a decision on Ten Hag as soon as possible.
"They want to plan for the new season, with their new board and people from INEOS, but of course the manager will also be crucial and essential to discuss for the future,” wrote Romano.

He continued:

“Man United want to involve their coach with their plans, but let’s see if it will be Ten Hag or not. It’s still very open, but we’ll see in the next weeks, after the FA Cup final, nothing is decided one side or the other just yet."

Romano also tipped Manchester United to be very busy in the transfer market this summer.

“Obviously this is going to have an impact on the market – United will be super busy this summer as many players will be leaving and the club also plan for many new players to join. We know United are looking for a new centre-back, maybe two,” wrote Romano.

He added:

“Nothing is close now for United, despite rumours. There are things to clarify internally before moving forward with new signings.
"I keep mentioning Gleison Bremer, Jean-Clair Todibo, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Antonio Silva among the centre-backs they like but it’s really open still, no decision has been made.”

With Raphael Varane set to leave at the end of the season, a new defender is a priority for the Red Devils this summer.
