Jurgen Klopp or not - we have the answer!

Shakhtar Donetsk have responded on their X account after an image of their new physiotherapist went viral online for striking similarity with ex-Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp. The Ukrainian side joked that it was not Jurgen Klopp, but their physiotherapist Igor Grskovic.

They posted Grskovic's photo with the caption:

"No, it’s not Jurgen Klopp. This is our physiotherapist Igor Grskovic."

Here's the post:

Jurgen Klopp left Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season and has since claimed that he doesn't plan to return to the dugout any time soon.

Jurgen Klopp confirms he has no plans to return soon

Jurgen Klopp said at the Coaches' Congress in Wurzburg that he would not return to football for at least a year. He said:

"I have nothing to say about that. It doesn't matter who calls: In my resignation statement, I said that I wouldn't coach any country or club for a year. Some people must have missed that part. The very next day, someone called, and I said, 'Are you crazy? I just explained that yesterday'."

When pressed if the England job would be able to lure him, he said:

"That would be the biggest loss of face in the history of football if I said, I'll make an exception for you. I know how lucky I am in this situation. There are a lot of managers here and the situation where the phone doesn't stop ringing and you can go anywhere is a fortune that few have. However, the timing couldn't be worse to contact me."

He further added:

"I will work at something. I'm too young to just play padel tennis and only spend time with my grandchildren. Will it be coaching again? I would actually rule that out at the moment. We'll see how things look in a few months. Right now, nothing is coming through."

Klopp has reportedly rejected offers from Borussia Dortmund, United States and RB Leipzig to make a return to football this season.
