Willian has compared Chelsea-bound Estevao Willian to Barcelona's Lamine Yamal. He claimed that the Brazilian youngster has potential and a similar style.
Speaking to ESPN, Willian said that Estevao can be a massive success in the Premier League. He believes that the Brazilian will help Chelsea win trophies and said:
"Without a doubt, he has a lot of potential, a lot of quality. The player has the advantage of still being so young, but with great potential like Lamine Yamal, they have a similar style. I hope that he can be very successful here in England playing for Chelsea, he can win many titles, score a lot of goals with the Chelsea jersey and he will help to win titles over the years."

He spoke about the winger in 2024 and told Ben Jacobs that Estevao is one of the best talents coming out of Brazil. He said via GOAL:
"He's a young player and very talented. He's kind of like Lamine Yamal. He will soon be a very big star in football. He's very promising and at just 17. I think he'll play for Palmeiras at the Club World Cup then join Chelsea."

Joao Paulo Sampaio, the head of the Palmeiras academy, has told the BBC that Estevao Willian is the best talent from Brazil since Neymar. He claimed that the winger is not as strong as Real Madrid's Endrick but believes that the youngster will need to mature before joining the Premier League side.
He said via talkSPORT:
"Estevao is the best player to have emerged from Brazilian football since Neymar. You watch him and you fall in love. He already impresses with his technique but, like Neymar at this same point in his career, he has not yet matured physically and is not as strong as Endrick, so he could still develop a lot. That's what amazes everyone and makes them think that he will reach a much higher level."
Chelsea paid £56 million to sign Estevao Willian from Palmeiras last summer. He had to wait until turning 18 to join the Premier League side because of the rules set for footballers in Brazil.
