Neymar wants to see Paul Pogba at Barcelona

Barcelona superstar, Neymar, has said he'd love to see French midfielder Paul Pogba at the Camp Nou wearing the colours of his Catalan club. The Juventus midfielder has been splendid since joining the Turin club from Manchester United with his previous season ending with him being included in the UEFA All-Star team.

Pogba – who himself has confessed his love for Barcelona – is expected to make a big-money move to one of Europe 'big guns' at the end of the season with Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City all interested.

Neymar, though, when asked whom he'd swap shirts with on the Barcelona website didn't hesitate before admitting Pogba was the player of his choice and that he'd love to see him at the Camp Nou some time in the future.

"Paul Pogba. He's a young player I like a lot and I would love to swap shirts with him. With whom would I like to play? With him. He's a player that would fit in very well at Barcelona."

Barcelona have been crying out for a player who can sufficiently replace Xavi Hernandez since the Spaniard left the club last summer. Pogba – with his passing and reading of the game – has the ability to replace the veteran but at times has been accused of foraging forward too much to join the attack leaving his position on the field unattended.

Ivan Rakitic and Arda Turan have been signed to fill in the gap left by Xavi and while they've impressed when on the field, they are yet to convince the Barcelona staff and board that they're long-term replacements and ones who can carve out a niche for themselves at the club.

Neymar, meanwhile, has been in excellent form himself culminating with him being nominated in the final three of the prestigious FIFA Ballon d'Or trophy alongside teammate Lionel Messi and Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo. His performances for the club have been mesmerising and looks like the kind of player the Catalans have long been searching for.
