Kimpembe was distraught

As United look to fire on all cylinders in the final ten minutes of the match, they started looking even more assured in possession and managed to create some worthy chances in their opponent’s half.

In one of those attacking moves, Diogo Dalot received the ball in the inside right channel and instead of looking for a slick pass in the box, he looked to shoot it with power.

Presnel Kimpembe’s hands seem to have touched the ball on its way and after an initial discussion, the referee went to check with the VAR. While it was clear that Kimpembe’s hand touched the ball, it was a tricky decision as many felt that his action was unintentional.

In the end, a spot-kick was awarded to United in the dying embers of the game. PSG players were clearly distraught but one cannot blame the referee for the spot-kick.
