After weeks and weeks of speculation, latest reports from Daily Mail claim that the Juventus midfielder has passed a medical at Los Angeles. The move would see Pogba become the most expensive transfer of all time eclipsing Gareth Bale’s move to Real Madrid.
The same report also went on to say that a five-year deal was agreed with Pogba set to earn a whopping £290,000 a week. Pogba is set to wear the number 6 jersey and United will soon announce the deal and make it official.
Former manager, Sir Alex Ferguson allowed him to leave United as a free agent in 2012 and he joined Juventus that summer. The move has probably been one of the few mistakes made by the former Manchester United manager in his career. After moving to Italy, Pogba has gone on to become one of the most sought out midfielders in Europe.
Mourinho in his first press conference admitted that he wants to bring in four specialists in the summer transfer window.
"We made a nucleus of four positions as a priority to give a certain balance to the squad, and a push in terms of quality that I want," United manager explained.
"As you know, especially the ones with more vision, I am a manager that likes specialists, not multi-functional players."
The Manchester United manager has already managed to sign three of his targets and Pogba is believed to be his fourth. Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola is set to pocket a handsome £15 million after a fee of £100 million was agreed.

It is understood that Juventus will disclose the deal to be worth £84.5 million on the account of the tax they are to pay for the deal. Pogba’s transfer is said to include plenty of add-ons with Juventus set to earn huge money if he wins the Ballon d’Or at Manchester United.
Paul Pogba will finally become Mourinho’s fourth signing following Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to Old Trafford. There are also plenty of departures expected with Jose Mourinho having reportedly informed Tim Fosu-Mensah, Paddy McNair, Tyler Blackett, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Andreas Pereira, Adnan Januzaj, Will Keane and James Wilson that they can all leave Manchester United.
Manchester United are undergoing a huge rehaul currently and Jose Mourinho will be pleased that he has managed to complete all 4 of his targeted signings.
