Manuel Pellegrini wants to keep Joleon Lescott

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini wants to keep defender Joleon Lescott until the end of the season when his contract runs out.

Lescott has been linked with a loan move to Tottenham and more recently to Besiktas.

However with injuries to Micah Richards and Matija Nastasic, Pellegrini now wants to keep the English centre back. The Chilean said:

“At this moment we are not considering [a loan move]. We will see in the future in the transfer window.”
