FC Barcelona v AS Roma - UEFA Champions League Quarter Final Leg One
Will Marc Andre Ter Stegen move to the Premier League?

Good evening and welcome to Sportskeeda's latest transfer news and rumours roundup. Despite the season now entering its final quarter, top clubs are keeping their eyes open on potential transfer targets.

And as always, there are stories which make headlines irrespective of the transfer window being open or shut. After scorching through papers and sources from all over Europe, we have managed to find transfer stories that made headlines on April 19, 2018:

La Liga

Manchester United to make a move for Marc Andre Ter Stegen

In the biggest story of the day, Don Balon has claimed that Manchester United are ready to test FC Barcelona's resolve to keep Marc Andre Ter Stegen. The backroom staff at United believe that David De Gea is ready to leave for Real Madrid this summer.

For that scenario, Jose Mourinho has decided to rope in Ter Stegen as De Gea's replacement. United are ready to pay the German's reported release clause of €180 million. The Red Devils believe that they will get at least €80 million for De Gea and the rest of the amount will be obtained by selling either Anthony Martial or Paul Pogba.

Arsenal eye Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema has long been linked with a move away from Real Madrid. His indifferent form has reportedly irked Florentino Perez who has now decided to sell him this summer.

Diario Gol reports that Real Madrid have an offer of €40 million on the table for the striker from Arsenal. Los Blancos value the Frenchman at double that price but it is difficult for the club to get that much amount for a striker that has scored just five league goals this season.
