POLL: Is This Destiny for Jose Mourinho?

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho’s team has finished second in his UEFA Champions League group only twice before. In 2004 while with FC Porto, he finished second behind Real Madrid and went on to win the trophy by beating Didier Deschamps’ Monaco. While in 2010 edition with Internazionale (Inter Milan), he finished second in the group stage behind FC Barcelona and went on to win the trophy in a dramatic fashion by beating Louis van Gaal’s Bayern Munich in the finals at the Santiago Bernabeau.

Real Madrid finished second in their group after the match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium and the third time that Jose Mourinho has finished second.

Is this destiny for Jose Mourinho?

It has been clear from the start of the season that Real Madrid’s main objective this season is winning Europe’s most prestigious trophy, the UEFA Champions League. The team, the players, the management and everyone involved with the club are ready to give all it takes to win it. Real Madrid are the most successful club in European competitions having won the UEFA Champions League a record nine times.

Los Blancos have been waiting for the 10th title for a decade now and some would say that it is a distraction.

So can Real Madrid make it ten in this 58th edition of the UEFA Champions League?

Will Real Madrid finally celebrate this time around?
