POLL: Who would be Jose Mourinho's successor?

Former Inter Milan’s coach Jose Mourinho (L) and Former Chelsea’s Manager Carlo Ancelotti during their second leg in the round of 16 UEFA Champions League match at home to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge football stadium, London on March 16, 2010.

With tabloids all over Spain reporting José Mourinho’s possible departure from the Spanish capital, Marca has suggested that the club’s offices on Concha Espina Street are already in pursuit of Mourinho’s possible successor.

Madrid president Florentino Pérez is expected to play a key role in choosing the replacement. The Madrid president has apparently made it clear that whoever is to replace Mourinho for the job must know how to manage a star-studded dressing room and have experience both in one of the major European leagues and in the Champions League.

He must also have proven himself in a high-pressure job and should be flexible with the media.

Apparently, PSG manager Carlo Ancelotti is on top of list of successors, followed by German national coach Joachim Löw.

French paper L’Equipe had reported that Ancelotti won’t be continuing at the club next season.

Stories of Mourinho’s departure have been floating in the air these days, but no official statement has been made by either the club or the manager.
