This list just wouldn't be complete without a mention of this dynamic duo.

Andrew Roberston joined Liverpool amid little fanfare in 2017 for a reported fee of £8 million and has proven to be a shrewd bargain.

Trent Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, is a product of the Liverpool youth system and made his senior team debut at the age of 18. The rest, as they say, is history.

They were simply outstanding last season, and in an impressive Liverpool team, these two men were one of the best things going for the side. The pair became the first defensive pairing to notch 10 or more assists in one Premier League season, with TAA finishing on 12 and Roberston finishing on 11 assists.

Trent Alexander-Arnold's haul is also a record for the number of assists by a defender in a single campaign. Quite impressive!

They will be reprising their roles for the Reds next season, and are sure to be assisting Jurgen Klopp's men in their bid for a maiden Premier League crown.
