Premier League 2018/19 Game week 4: Previews and Predictions

Image result for PREMIER LEAGUE
Game week 4 promises to be another exciting match day.

The game week three saw Manchester City dropping points against the newly promoted Wolves side at the Molineux Stadium whereas their closest title rivals Liverpool and Chelsea have all managed to keep a 100 per cent winning start to the Premier League with just three games played.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool side are looking like the best team in the league at the moment with some different performances from their opening match day but still managed to win all three games without conceding a single goal. On the other hand, Jose Mourinho's Manchester United are in absolute shambles at the moment with two defeats in the first three matches, the first time that has happened in 26 years at the club. He will be hoping for a response from his team against the Burnley side who are yet to hit the form they showed last season.

Javi Garcia's Watford has been the surprise package of the season with three wins out of three, and they will be up against a determined Spurs side who are high in confidence after last week victory at Old Trafford.

Here's a look at the fixtures and predictions from Matchday 4 of the Barclays Premier League 2018/19 season.

#10 Leicester City vs. Liverpool

Image result for liverpool
The front three of Liverpool has yet to hit the top gear.

Despite losing their opening game against Manchester United at Old Trafford, Leicester has won back-to-back games since then and will go into this game with their tails up. However, they will be without their talisman Jamie Vardy for this game. Claude Puel must be wondering who will trouble Van Dijk and co. in this match.

Liverpool, on the other hand, will be looking for their fourth victory in a row and stay at the top before the International break. The defence and the goalkeeper are all but looking solid and if the front three runs riot, then it will be a long 90 minutes for the Foxes at the King Power Stadium.

Prediction: Leicester City 0-2 Liverpool.

#9 Crystal Palace vs. Southampton

Image result for zaha
Palace will be looking up their talisman Wilfried Zaha again to lit them up.

After beating Fulham on the opening matchday, Roy Hodgson's side has suffered back-to-back defeats like the Saints who are yet to register a win in the season. In this fixture last season, Southampton won 1-0, but that was during Palace's winless streak as they enjoyed the worst start to the season of any Premier League side that year.

Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 - 1 Southampton.

#8 Everton vs. Huddersfield

Image result for walcott in everton
Walcot is in top form for Everton this season.

Everton will be without their key player Richarlison who is suspended after his red card against Bournemouth last weekend. They are unbeaten in the league so far and has shown enough resilience to win matches even with ten men. Theo Walcot will be their key man once again for this game, and Marco Silva will be hoping to keep their unbeaten run going.

David Wagner is worried about his side's lack of goals. They have just scored only once so far and will be hoping to get a win at Goodison this week.

Prediction: Everton 2-0 Huddersfield.

#7 Brighton vs. Fulham

The Amex stadium will be hoping for a repeat performance of the United game.

The head-to-head between the two sides in the Championship makes for excellent reading for the home team. Since Chris Hughton took over Brighton has won all the games between this two sides. Jokanovic will hope his side continues their form after the 4-2 win against Burnley last week.

Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Fulham

#6 Chelsea vs. Bournemouth

Image result for chelsea
Chelsea will look to continue their winning run.

Maurizio Sarri' side has looked impressive in their opening three games. The Italian has instilled an attacking style of play within Chelsea which we are not accustomed to seeing the Blues play. Eddie Howe's Bournemouth has shown great resilience in coming back from behind to win two matches in a row. Last time the two sides met at the Stanford Bridge. Eddie Howe's side won 3-0. However this time it could be a different story altogether.

Prediction: Chelsea 2-1 Bournemouth

#5 West Ham vs. Wolves

Image result for pellegrini
Manuel Pellegrini' side is languishing at the bottom.

West Ham United are yet to register a single point in the season whereas Wolves are yet to win a game this season. However, the win against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup was a timely boost for Manuel Pellegrini's side who will be desperate to avoid a fourth defeat in a row in the Premier League. Wolves showed great determination in their hard-earned point against Manchester City and will be looking for a win if West Ham makes the same sort of defensive errors they have done in the last three matches.

Prediction: West Ham United 1-1 Wolves

#4 Manchester City vs. Newcastle United

Image result for manchester city
Manchester City would not want to lose any more points before the International Break.

Pep's Guardiola's side dropped two vital points against Wolves which has somewhat pegged them back in their dream to defend the Barclays Premier League title successfully. They will be up against a hapless Newcastle side who are struggling to find a win themselves. Rafa Benitez's team could be the latest to suffer before the Etihad Stadium crowd.

Prediction: Man City 4-0 Newcastle United.

#3 Cardiff City vs. Arsenal

Image result for arsenal
Arsenal grabbed their first win of the season last weekend.

Arsenal will be looking to back up their win against West Ham last week with another three points against Cardiff. Though scoring goals is not an issue for Arsenal, the defensive has been exposed time and again which could be a decisive factor for Arsenal's top four chances this season.

Cardiff City is yet to register a win this campaign and might have to wait for sometime to do so with Chelsea and Manchester City next.

Prediction: Cardiff City 1-3 Arsenal

#2 Watford vs. Tottenham

Watford is playing some scintillating football.

Arguably the best game of the week with two teams yet to drop a single point this season. At home, Javi Garcia's side is dangerous and ruthless against any opposition. It will be a tough test for Mauricio Pochettino and his men who will look to get all three points from this game and keep up with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea on top.

Prediction: Watford 2-2 Tottenham

#1 Burnley vs. Manchester United

Image result for jose mourinho
Jose will be looking to get back to winning ways.

Both the teams are going through a rough patch at the moment, and a win for either of them will be a confidence booster for rest of the season while the loser will have a hard time getting back again. For Jose Mourinho and Manchester United, this is a must-win match. United cannot afford to lose any more points which will further dent their chances of a top-four finish and raise more questions of Jose Mourinho.

Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Manchester United
